Matteo is a conceptual creative writer currenly living in Portland, Oregon.
Having had the opportunity of working across four continents, Matteo helped top-tier agencies create powerful campaigns for global brands such as Cadbury, Kronenbourg 1664, Amazon and Nike.
His ideas have been recognized in each of these diverse markets. In 2019, Matteo was featured in the Adweek’s Creative 100 — the annual list of inspiring leaders and rising stars in the field of creativity across advertising, media, art, literature, animation and more.
When he’s not spending time playing Tetris with his favorite movie quotes (more below), he also plays sports, video-games and movies.
THE SCRIPT OF MY LIFE
There was me, that is Matteo, and my three droogs, that is Mum, Dad, and Sister,
and we sat in the Nursery Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening.
As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster,
but my mum always said "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
“Toga! Toga!” was the theme of my adolescence. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Then, I realized: “Italy is a system, Matteo. That system is your enemy.
When you're inside, you look around, what do you see?“
“I see dead people.“
Well, nobody's perfect. So I said “Hasta la vista, baby” and flew to the UK.
Lost in translation no more.
Finally, Miami Ad School made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
“You talkin’ to me?“ Incredulous, I answered “Why not, after all, tomorrow is another day!”
“May the Force be with you” my dad stated as the news got home.
I said hello to my little friends and thought “Carpe Diem. Seize the day, boy. Make your life extraordinary.“
Now, because I had been a football star in Italy, and a war hero in Miami,
and a national celebrity in New York, and a shrimpin' boat captain in Sydney,
and a college graduate in Hong Kong, the city of fathers of Portland
decided to get together and offered me a fine job.
Don't think you are, know you are.
Anything different is good.
